Control by Lydia Kang, not the biggest science fiction reader but loved this book.

The Almond Tree by Michelle Cohen Corasanti, I got a different side to the story about the conflict in the Middle East which I appreciated.

The scene with Jiko and the yanki girls in A Tale For The Time Being by Ruth Ozeki

Whirl Away Stories by Russell Wangersky (shortest) and Far From The Tree by Andrew Solomon (longest)

17. Book That Had A Scene In It That Had You Reeling And Dying To Talk To Somebody About It? (a WTF moment, an epic revelation, a steamy kiss, etc. etc.) Be careful of spoilers!
The reveal of who was behind the killings, accidents and back mailing of the villagers and friends of Agatha in Something Borrowed, Someone Dead by M.C. Beaton and how they pulled it off as well as what we learn about that person’s background was a big WTF moment for me.

18. Favorite Relationship From A Book You Read In 2013 (be it romantic, friendship, etc).
Oh so many to choose from but after reading Cress I’d have to say, Prince Kai and Cinder.
